POSITION SUMMARY
The workforce relations specialist is a vital role within the Workforce Relations team, ensuring the smooth operation and effective management of workforce-related issues. This position is crucial for maintaining compliance with employment regulations, fostering a positive work environment and supporting the overall well-being of team members.
The workforce relations specialist is responsible for completing and managing unemployment claims, maintaining electronic records of employee disciplines, and addressing routine employee relations concerns. This role involves conducting investigations, producing necessary documents, maintaining files and preparing reports. Additionally, the specialist provides quality customer service, assists in developing office procedures, supports training sessions, ensures policy compliance, manages data, resolves routine issues and creates and manages a queue for workforce relations cases and issue resolutions.
QUALIFICATIONS

EDUCATION: High school diploma or equivalent required. Bachelor's degree preferred.

EXPERIENCE: 1-3 years of office experience required, preferably within humans resources.
PERFORMANCE EXPECTATIONS
Demonstrates the competencies as established on the Assessment and Evaluation Tool for this position.
WORK ENVIRONMENT
Potential for exposure to the hazards and risk of the hospital environment, including exposure to infectious disease, hazardous substances and potential injury. This position requires occasional walking, stooping and standing. Long periods of sitting also required. Works with such equipment as a computer, fax machine, copier and printer.
