This position is critical within the Innovation and Business Development Office, an internal consulting group that supports Strategic and Innovation initiatives, operational excellence and continuous improvement across the health system. Reporting to director, this position will drive innovation, transformation and business development efforts of the organization.
Responsible for partnering closely with the operational teams to lead end-to-end initiatives that will manage, design and drive continual improvements in processes.
Works directly with stakeholders to generate and develop ideas for disruptive innovations and new business opportunities.
Independently supports the execution of high-priority workstreams improvement by developing, managing, owning and overseeing project plans in partnership with individuals and teams across the health system.
Provides analytical and strategy support for the evaluation of strategic opportunities, creates implementation plans and executes strategic projects to completion.
Requires knowledge of Lean Six Sigma and supports the culture of continuous improvement within the organization.
Supports presentations to the Board, internal committees and other leadership groups.
Has leadership attributes to build a rapport and influence stakeholders at all levels, develops strong interpersonal relationships and is able to facilitate and drive change in a fast-paced and changing environment.
Provides project leadership by defining projects, developing project plans and setting priorities for working teams. Keeps projects focused and on track. Plans and facilitates meetings.
Superior PowerPoint, Visio and Excel skills required, as well as strong verbal and written communication skills, including presentation skills.
Excellent critical thinking, problem-solving relationship-building and communication skills.
Ability to work within the organization at all levels creating value and buy-in to drive transformational change and develop effective processes.
QUALIFICATIONS
EDUCATION: Bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent experience required.
LICENSE/CERTIFICATION: Green Belt certification is preferred.
EXPERIENCE: Five (5) years of experience related to process improvement, business analysis, project management, performance benchmarking, metrics, change management, operational transformation or strategic alignment required. Lean Six Sigma training required. Green Belt certification preferred or completed within 3 years of date of hire. 1-3 years of healthcare experience preferred. Experience with workflow processing and effective leadership in team facilitation are required. Working knowledge of PDCA required. Knowledge of MS Office suite and Visio is required.

Demonstrates the competencies as established on the Assessment and Evaluation Tool for this position.
WORK ENVIRONMENT
This position requires sitting, standing, walking, stooping and crouching a majority of the workday. Works with such equipment as a computer terminal, fax machine, printer and copier.
