The Therapist I Child Partial works under the supervision of a licensed independent practitioner. The Therapist I in the Child Partial Program provides individual, family, group, bio-psychosocial intakes and other modalities to clients and their families according to demonstrated competence. The Therapist is supervised in these tasks by a licensed independent practitioner.
The Therapist I will complete bio-psychosocial assessments and prepares comprehensive treatment plans for clients while providing individual, family and group psychotherapy. The Therapist I will also provide crisis intervention and document all client interactions, including all sessions with clients, families, significant others etc., within established time frames.
This position supports organizational goals by providing quality customer service, participating in performance improvement efforts and demonstrating a commitment to team work and cooperation.

  • EDUCATION: Master's degree in behavioral health required.
  • LICENSE/CERTIFICATION: NJ LAC or LSW licensure required. BLS and CPI required within 90 days of hire. Valid New Jersey driver's license required.
  • EXPERIENCE: 1 year in a behavioral health setting preferred. Ability to conduct therapy sessions in the language of the population served. Works effectively with interdisciplinary treatment team. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Applications and otherrelated department specific software required.
Demonstrates the technical competencies as established on the Assessment and Evaluation Tool.

Potential for exposure to blood borne pathogens along with infectious diseases. This position requires frequent sitting the majority of the day. Essential functions of this position are listed on the Assessment and Evaluation Tool.

This position reports to department leadership.
