Registered Nurse - Endoscopy Egg Harbor Township Surgery Center - Per Diem

Location: Egg Harbor Twp, NJ  |  Position Status: Per Diem/Pool  |  Position Shift: Days
The endo/procedure room nurse is responsible for providing exceptional patient care and family support throughout the surgical experience. This position provides the physician members of the healthcare team with the equipment, supplies and support to perform surgical/endoscopic procedures.

This position supports organizational goals by providing quality customer service, participating in performance improvement efforts and demonstrating a commitment to teamwork and cooperation.

QUALIFICATIONS
  • EDUCATION: Graduate of an accredited school of nursing; bachelor's in nursing preferred. Current licensure as a registered nurse in the state of New Jersey required. BLS required. ACLS required within 6 months of hire and as designated by specialty below. Ability to effectively communicate with others and adjust to changes within daily schedule of activities required. Ambulatory surgery center experience preferred.
  • EXPERIENCE: Proficiency in clinical applications preferred at time of hire. Incumbents within position will be trained appropriately and then skill will be required for this position within 30-60 days from date of hire.

PERFORMANCE EXPECTATIONS
Demonstrates the competencies as established on the Assessment and Evaluation Tool for this position.

WORK ENVIRONMENT
Potential for exposure to the hazards and risk of the hospital environment, blood-borne pathogens (including exposure to infectious disease), hazardous substances and potential injury. This position works in a busy, noisy environment and has frequent interruptions requiring re-evaluation of priorities. This position requires standing for long periods of time, occasional lifting up to 20 pounds and walking short distances quickly.
