Professional Revenue Cycle Business Partner

Location: Atlantic City, NJ  |  Position Status: Full Time  |  Position Shift: Days
The revenue cycle business partner will be instrumental in building the relationship between the physician billing process and the practice operations. This is an extremely visible and integral position, requiring someone with strong communication and problem-solving skills who is a seasoned professional.

The revenue cycle business partner will be involved in engaging and working close with vice presidents, executive directors and assistant vice presidents to understand practice management revenue cycle needs of this group and effectively communicate between the operations and revenue cycle.

The revenue cycle business partner is also responsible for aligning finance and revenue cycle strategy with operations for assigned partnerships, developing relationships of trust, collaborating and supporting new and current service offerings, providing continuous improvement input by using Lean methodologies, and deploying development programs in conjunction with other revenue cycle areas to create revenue cycle operational excellence.

This position supports organizational goals by providing quality customer service, participating in performance improvement efforts and demonstrating a commitment to teamwork and cooperation.

  • Bachelor's degree in a related field required. Master's preferred with 10 years of revenue cycle experience required.

  • With a bachelor's degree, must have maintained a certification from HFMA or MGMA; master's degree preferred. Qualified certifications include, but are not limited to:
    • MGMA: an ACMPE in revenue cycle, operations management or financial management
  • Must obtain a certification within 12-18 months from date of hire if individual does not have certification.
  • Greenbelt certification preferred.

  • Minimum 7+ years in a leadership role required.
  • This position also requires strong visibility and strong leadership abilities.
  • Revenue cycle basic knowledge is preferred at time of hire. Incumbents within position will be trained appropriately and then skill will be required for this position within 30-60 days from date of hire.

Demonstrates the technical competencies as established on the Assessment and Evaluation Tool.

This position requires repetitive motion, fingering, hearing, pushing, reaching, reading, calculating, seeing, speaking, standing and walking a majority of the time. This position also works with such equipment as a computer terminal, fax machine copier and telephone. Occasional driving also required. The essential functions for this position are listed on the Assessment and Evaluation Tool.

This position reports to department leadership.
