Procurement Contract Analyst - Temporary

Location: Egg Harbor Twp, NJ  |  Position Status: Full Time  |  Position Shift: Days
  • Bachelor's degree in business, finance, economics, healthcare or a related field required.

POSITION SUMMARY
The Contract Analyst I will monitor and analyze trends within contract purchases to identify and target opportunities to reduce operating expenses related to medical/surgical products, goods, services and/or equipment purchased by the organization. The contract coordinator develops, modifies and monitors contract processing procedures and activities; reviews contract requests and proposals; and serves as a liaison between departmental staff, vendors, Legal department and Supply Chain leadership team.

The Contract Analyst I is responsible for category and/or department-specific benchmarking, price analyses and contracting and works in conjunction with the Sourcing and Buying teams to meet all procurement needs. This position supports the item file function and is responsible for the Daily Exception Report for the department.

The Contract Analyst I will maintain a current knowledge of available information databases and emerging tools and technology that will best support the procurement initiatives.

The Contract Analyst I has the ability to plan and analyze complex processes, proficiency in computer software programs and databases, data-mining and extrapolation skills, effective negotiation skills, attention to detail, strong critical reasoning skills and the ability to interpret benchmark analytics to relay information.

The Contract Analyst I utilizes benchmarking tools to evaluate, compare and contract pricing on non-stock and stock items. Analyzes usage of supplies, equipment and services throughout assigned departments. Reviews and interprets analytical data generated via various data systems and acts upon opportunities as they are presented. Uses all resources available appropriately to source product and benchmark vendor offers.

The Contract Analyst I supports the function of any web-based contract analytics tools for the department, such as GPO portals and the AtlantiCare Legal department system, Ntracts.

The Contract Analyst I may provide support through statistics, data and contracting information to both the Surgical Value Analysis and Hospital Value Analysis committees, as needed.

The Contract Analyst I oversees the maintenance of the HEMM Contract Module. The position is responsible for the implementation and compliance monitoring of all contracts for goods and services.

QUALIFICATIONS
  • EDUCATION: Bachelor's degree in business, finance, economics, healthcare or a related field required. Master's degree preferred.
  • LICENSE/CERTIFICATION: CMRP preferred.
  • EXPERIENCE: Solid experience in a variety of software programs; expert knowledge in Microsoft Excel and Office required. 2 years of analytics experience preferred. Purchasing experience preferred. Experience with Supply Chain Information Systems preferred.
