The Manager of Training & Education plays a pivotal role in the development, execution and continuous improvement of training programs related to clinical systems. This role is responsible for ensuring that training initiatives are comprehensive, user-focused and aligned with the strategic objectives of the organization. The manager will lead efforts in creating educational resources, assessing training effectiveness and supporting end-user adoption of clinical systems.
This position requires on-call responsibilities and on-site responsibilities (ex: on-site presence during go-lives, rounding activities, select meetings/trainings and as determined by request/need).
QUALIFICATIONS

EDUCATION: Bachelor's degree required. In lieu of bachelor's degree, additional four years of experience required.

LICENSE/CERTIFICATION: Valid drivers license.

EXPERIENCE: Minimum 3 years of training, education and end-user support experience, plus a minimum of 3 years of clinical experience required (in lieu of bachelor's degree, a total of 7 years of experience required). Demonstrated ability to assess training needs, adapt programs and drive continuous improvement. Management experience preferred. Excellent written and oral communication skills required. Computer applications experience preferred.

Training Program Development and Oversight

Assessment and Adaptation

WORK ENVIRONMENT
Potential for exposure to the hazards and risk of the hospital environment on an occasional basis, including exposure to infectious disease, hazardous substances and potential injury. This position requires balancing, fingering, reaching, reading, driving and speaking a majority of the time. This position works with such equipment as computers, fax machine, copier and telephone. Occasional carrying up to 20 lbs. also required.

This position reports to the Director of Health Informatics Training & Education.
