Manager of Customer Relations - City Hospital

Location: Atlantic City, NJ  |  Position Status: Full Time  |  Position Shift: Varies

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in a related field required.
  • 3-5 years of professional management experience required.

POSITION SUMMARY
The Manager of Customer Relations acts as the patient advocate for patients and family members. This position plans, coordinates and implements customer relations efforts. This position develops, implements and conducts customer service and service recovery sessions, as well as tracking and trending customer feedback/comments. The manager facilitates project teams to support customer service systems and provides appropriate advice and delegation of actions. The manager is responsible for the management of the information desk services and interpreter services.

This position supports organizational goals by providing quality customer service, participating in performance improvement efforts and demonstrating a commitment to teamwork and cooperation.

QUALIFICATIONS
  • EDUCATION: Bachelor's degree in a related field required.
  • LICENSE/CERTIFICATION: Certification by the New Jersey Association of Director of Volunteer Services preferred.
  • EXPERIENCE: 3-5 years of professional management experience required. Working knowledge of the healthcare field, hospital procedures and/or public relations preferred. Clinical experience helpful. Proficiency in clinical applications preferred at time of hire. Incumbents within position will be trained appropriately and then skill will be required for this position within 30-60 days from date of hire.

PERFORMANCE EXPECTATIONS
Demonstrates the technical competencies as established on the Assessment and Evaluation Tool.

WORK ENVIRONMENT
Potential for exposure to the hazards and risk of the hospital environment, including exposure to infectious disease, hazardous substances and potential injury.

REPORTING RELATIONSHIP
This position reports to department leadership and supervises incumbents as assigned.
