Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in healthcare-related field or 5-7 years of training center operations experience.
  • Valid New Jersey driver's license required.
  • PALS/ACLS/BLS Instructor certification required.
  • 3-5 years of PALS/ACLS/BLS experience required.
  • Teaching/instruction experience required.

POSITION SUMMARY
The Life Support Training Center Supervisor is responsible for overseeing the operation, scheduling and completion of all American Heart Association (AHA) education. The supervisor will follow American Heart Association (AHA) policies and serve as the primary liaison between AHA and the instructors. The supervisor will oversee and manage the performance of all pool LSTC instructors, including hiring, onboarding, scheduling and monitoring performance. The supervisor will support and utilize the voice-assisted manikin (VAM) in AHA certifications. The cupervisor will assist with and collaborate with Human Resources with certification requirements and role-based essential work requirements. The supervisor will support and oversee all community-based instructors and monitor for AHA compliance.

The coordinator will possess an in-depth knowledge of business operations, fiscal principles and industry operating procedures to provide input on the Life Support Training Center budget according to department policies and procedures.

QUALIFICATIONS
  • EDUCATION: Bachelor's degree in healthcare-related field or 5-7 years of training center operations experience.
  • LICENSE/CERTIFICATION: PALS/ACLS/BLS Instructor certification required; faculty level preferred. Valid New Jersey driver's license required.
  • EXPERIENCE: 3-5 years of PALS/ACLS/BLS experience required. Teaching/instruction experience required. Experience and coordination of simulation lab environment preferred.

PERFORMANCE EXPECTATIONS
Demonstrates the competencies as established on the Assessment and Evaluation Tool for this position.

WORK ENVIRONMENT
Potential for exposure to blood-borne pathogens, along with infectious diseases (refers to blood-bourne pathogen requirement). Essential functions of this position are listed on the Assessment and Evaluation Tool.

REPORTING RELATIONSHIP
This position reports to department leadership and may supervise incumbents as assigned.
