The pool Life Support Training Center Instructor – PALS & ACLS is responsible for instructing American Heart Association courses.
The instructor leads the classes with numerous students of various experience and educational backgrounds. The instructor maintains current knowledge of American Heart Association standards to effectively meet the training needs of the students.
This position supports organizational goals by providing quality customer service, participating in performance improvement efforts and demonstrating a commitment to teamwork and cooperation.
QUALIFICATIONS

EDUCATION: High school graduate or equivalent.

LICENSE/CERTIFICATION: American Heart Association ACLS and/or PALS Instructor Card required.

EXPERIENCE: Ability to present, lead and manage RQI and direct feedback equipment in a classroom setting and with skill applications. Professional and customer service-oriented behavior required. Healthcare experience required.
PERFORMANCE EXPECTATIONS
Demonstrates the technical competencies as established on the Assessment and Evaluation Tool.
WORK ENVIRONMENT
This position requires standing, reaching, stooping, kneeling and crouching approximately the majority of the workday. This position requires frequently lifting, approximately 25 pounds.
