The GME Institutional Coordinator is responsible for the day-to-day administration of the Medical Education Department. The coordinator assists the DIO and the Practice Director of Medical Education in developing and maintaining the compliance with ACGME accreditation standards and other regulatory requirements.
The coordinator prepares reports and presentations, coordinates meetings and functions, maintains office supplies, responds to routine mail correspondence and handles departmental inquiries, ensuring efficient business operations. Under the direction of the PDME, the coordinator is responsible for daily administrative support services and activities of the GME Department to ensure adherence with accreditation requirements and training site compliance. This position assists with the reporting of information to internal and external groups and involved in the planning and execution of GME-related events.
This position supports organizational goals by providing quality customer service and demonstrating a commitment to teamwork and cooperation. Well-developed communication, interpersonal and organizational skills required. Proficiency with computer applications required.
QUALIFICATIONS

EDUCATION: Associate's degree in a related field. Bachelor's degree preferred .

EXPERIENCE: 3-5 years coordinating an ACGME program or employment teaching hospital setting.

Demonstrates the competencies as established on the Assessment and Evaluation Tool for this position.
WORK ENVIRONMENT
Position requires desk/computer work for a majority of the time. Requires some walking, standing and occasional lifting up to 20 lbs. Position requires increased amounts of repetitive motion with regard to typing.

This position reports to the Practice Director of Medical Education.
