Fitness Assessor

The fitness assessor is responsible for providing professional fitness service to members and clients of the LifeCenter, based on their training, to appropriately meet their health and fitness needs.

This position supports organizational goals by providing quality customer service, participating in performance improvement efforts and demonstrating a commitment to teamwork and cooperation.

QUALIFICATIONS

• EDUCATION: High school diploma required. BS in exercise science or related science preferred.
• LICENSE/CERTIFICATION: ACSM Health Fitness Instructor, ACE Personal Trainer or Atlantic Cape Community College Personal Training certifications required. BLS required. Effective 1/1/2021, existing incumbents with Heart Saver will be required to renew with BLS. All new hires effective this same date are required to have BLS.

PERFORMANCE EXPECTATIONS
Demonstrates the competencies as established on the Assessment and Evaluation Tool for this position.

WORK ENVIRONMENT
Potential for exposure to the hazards and risk of the hospital environment, including exposure to infectious disease, hazardous substances and potential injury. This position requires frequent walking and standing and occasional lifting up to 25 lbs.

REPORTING RELATIONSHIP
This position reports to department leadership.
