The benefits specialist facilitates the interfaces between the benefit administration vendor and ADP to ensure proper assignment and administration of the company's health and welfare programs. This includes, but is not limited to, medical, dental, vision, prescription, COBRA, flexible spending accounts, vision, Life, LTD, other related voluntary programs etc. The benefits specialist responds to vendors' questions and concerns in a timely manner and acts as a liaison between vendors and/or vendors and employees. In addition, the benefits specialist handles all inquiries from employees in regard to their claims, including payment and/or deductible disputes.
The benefits specialist shares the responsibility preparation for special events or human resources projects, such as new hire orientation and open enrollment.
The benefits specialist demonstrates departmental teamwork and flexibility by performing other duties as assigned.
This position supports organizational goals by providing quality customer service, participating in performance improvement efforts and demonstrating a commitment to teamwork and cooperation.
QUALIFICATIONS

EDUCATION: Associate's degree or equivalent of 5+ years of HR experience required. Bachelor's degree preferred.

EXPERIENCE: Minimum 2+ years of benefits experience required. Knowledge of online benefit administration required. Good interpersonal skills required. The candidate for this position is detail-oriented and able to function independently. HRIS experience preferred. HR healthcare experience preferred.
PERFORMANCE EXPECTATIONS
Position requires desk/computer work for a majority of the time. This position requires some walking and standing and occasional lifting up to 20 lbs. Position requires increased amounts of repetitive motion with regard to typing.
