TITLE: Advanced Practice Nurse

Master's degree in nursing from an accredited school or as grandfathered by New Jersey law required.

Advanced nurse practitioner in the state of New Jersey.

CDS, DEA and buprenorphine waiver required.

1 year of experience in addiction required.

Maintains professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops, reviewing professional publications, establishing personal networks and participating in professional societies required.

Ability to express oneself clearly when presenting ideas or concerns with respect to all cultures or ethnic or gender-specific backgrounds required.

Demonstrates knowledge of health-related issues regarding addiction, mental health, detoxification, chronic diseases, communicable and infectious diseases and primary care required.

Capable of obtaining and maintaining state licensure for APN in the state of New Jersey, Controlled Dangerous Substance (CDS), Drug Enforcement Agency (DEA), buprenorphine waiver required.

Maintaine and obtaine continuing education units (CEUs) or continuing medical education (CMEs) credits for licensure as required by state and federal guidelines required.

Maintains personal liability insurance required.

POSITION SUMMARY
At the direction of leadership, the advanced practice nurse promotes and maintains health by providing medical services.
This position supports organizational goals by providing quality customer service, participating in performance improvement efforts and demonstrating a commitment to teamwork and cooperation.

WORK ENVIRONMENT
Potential for exposure to blood-borne pathogens, along with infectious diseases (refers to blood-bourne pathogen requirement). This position requires repetitive motion, hearing, pushing, reaching, reading, seeing, speaking, standing and walking a majority of the time. Spends time with such equipment as a computer terminal, fax machine, copier and telephone. Essential functions of this position are listed on the Assessment and Evaluation Tool.
