The surgery center administrator is responsible for ensuring appropriate staffing levels are maintained for the AtlantiCare Surgery Center. This position ensures that safe, quality and patient-centered care is provided to every patient seen at the surgery center. The administrator oversees all day-to-day functions of the facility. The administrator is responsible for the implementation and enforcement of all policies and procedures. Under the direction of the executive director, the administrator is responsible for the managerial, operational and fiscal components of the facility. The administrator is responsible for ensuring all reporting requirements for the facility occur in a timely fashion. The administrator ensures that all staff is assigned duties appropriate to their education, training, competency and job description. The administrator oversees staff education and orientation. The administrator communicates on a regular basis operational observations to the executive director in order to facilitate organizational changes, as needed.
This position supports organizational goals by providing quality customer service, overseeing performance improvement efforts, and demonstrating a commitment to teamwork and cooperation. The administrator is available in the facility during hours of operation and assigns a designee, as appropriate.
QUALIFICATIONS

EDUCATION: Graduate of a bachelor's of business or related field required. BSN preferred. Completion of a four-year degree program in a specified time frame.

EXPERIENCE: 5 to 10 years of ambulatory surgery center management experience required. Knowledge of Department of Health regulations for ambulatory services and AAAHC accreditation standards.

WORK ENVIRONMENT
Potential for exposure to the hazards and risk of the surgery center environment, including exposure to infectious disease, hazardous substances and potential injury.
This position works in a busy, noisy environment and has frequent interruptions requiring re-evaluation of priorities. This position requires standing for long periods of time, occasional lifting up to 20 pounds and walking short distances quickly.

REPORTING RELATIONSHIP
This position reports to the executive director and supervises incumbents as assigned.
