Minimum Qualifications: 

  • Graduate of an accredited school of pharmacy/master's degree.
  • Current New Jersey pharmacist license.
  • 6 years of experience as a hospital pharmacist.
  • 6 years of hospital pharmacy management experience.

 

 

POSITION SUMMARY
The AVP, Pharmacy Service Line oversees and directs the systemwide medication use strategy and vision. This position ensures effective medication management in accordance with all regulatory oversights, including JCHAO, DOH and BOP. This position facilitates program development and serves as project lead for medication use-related initiatives for AtlantiCare. The AVP serves as the medication safety expert, overseeing ADE monitoring, evidence-based clinical practices and clinical technology effectiveness.   

This position is responsible for the overall pharmacy operation in both hospitals and for financial performance.   

This position supports organizational values by quality customer service, teamwork, integrity, respect and patient safety.

QUALIFICATIONS
  • EDUCATION: Graduate of an accredited school of pharmacy required and a master's degree required.
  • LICENSE/CERTIFICATION: Current New Jersey pharmacist license required.
  • EXPERIENCE: 6 years of experience as a hospital pharmacist. 6 years of hospital pharmacy management experience required. Proficiency in clinical applications preferred at time of hire. Incumbents within position will be trained appropriately and then skill will be required for this position within 30-60 days from date of hire.

PERFORMANCE EXPECTATIONS
Demonstrates the technical competencies as established on the Assessment and Evaluation Tool.

WORK ENVIRONMENT
This position requires frequent sitting for long periods of time. The essential functions for this position are listed on the Assessment and Evaluation Tool.

REPORTING RELATIONSHIP
This position reports to department leadership and supervises incumbents as assigned.
